— HSBC — Welcome to Davos
Sub-brand, experience, and UI design for HSBC’s pop-up coffee shop at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

In collaboration with Nexus Studios, I created a graphic language for signage, video, animation and touch-screen. A triangle from the existing HSBC logo was utilised and built upon to convey the concept of a global network of data, as well as a simple arrow that would point visitors to, and around the experience.
— Five AI — Phase 2
Rebrand and rollout (as Head of Design) — Five AI were changing direction. Essentially, they were bringing together everything they’d learned from building their own fleet of driverless cars, and packaging it all up into a platform for autonomous vehicle development. They also wanted to drop the ‘AI’ part from their existing logo (apparently it had become a bit passé), and start a new phase with a new identity.

— Gortek
The brief from Gortek’s founder was very succinct — “I want a little robot dude.” — and after exploring a range of different characters, we settled on one that could easily convey Gortek’s approach to business tech solutions — with speed, reliability, and a smile.
— Five AI — Phase 1
Brand development and comms for autonomous vehicle tech — I got onboard to lead design on everything from events and merchandise to web and social.

— Kahoot!
While I wasn’t allowed to touch the logo, Kahoot’s founders asked me to help transform and improve the visual impact of the brand. An exploration of fonts, illustration, and iconography was refined and implemented into product updates, websites, team swag, and live campaigns, including Kahoot!’s appearance at the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) conference in Philadelphia.

— Kunst
Logotype and identity for the record label Kunst, and subsequent cover design for Kunst 002 —  a collaborative album by producers dgoHn and Jodey Kendrick, promoted by Grant Wilson-Claridge from Rephlex Records. I had planned to go with a purely typographic route, but Grant preferred a version which included a placeholder image of my cat, Hamz.
— Bear with...
As mentioned, this site is a continual work in progress, so I’ll be adding more projects (from clients including Google, Cuvva, Farfetch, Tide Banking, and Kahoot!), as and when I get around to it.

In the meantime, if you want to see more in terms of exploration and process, there are some actual case studies below.
